Apple Patent filing to Adjust iPhone Volume automatically.

apple patent filing
The US Patent Office published an Apple patent filing that reveals the company having developed a new system to auto adjust sound volumes. As we know ringtones have to be adjusted everytime depending upon noisier or quieter environments. Apple has come up with a system that uses the sound sensor to determine an ambient sound level for the environment in the proximity of the device. The system then adjusts a volume setting for the device adaptively based on the determined ambient sound level. Apple suggests that a sound sensor like a mic can be used to determine the ambient noise level on startup or over time and change the base volume to be audible based on nearby conditions. The company already uses ambient sensors to detect light for the displays on the iPhone, iPod touch and most Macs and also to illuminate MacBook keyboards.
