Blackberry users being watched by Etisalat

etisalat spying
Etisalat network upgrade for Blackberry service. Please download to ensure continuous service quality.” this was the description for the update for blackberry users but instead of "performance enhancement patch" as advertised the users downloaded some spyware that could potentially give Etisalat the ability to keep an eye on its customers' messages.
Nigel Gourlay, a Doha-based Sun-certified Java programmer who has been developing open source software for 15 years discovered an application intended to intercept both email and text messages, sending a copy to an Etisalat server without the user being aware of anything beyond a slightly excessive battery drain. Once installed, Etisalat could possibly start any device and all your messages and email will be forwaded to etisalat.
